Department for Infrastructure - TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT

What is happening?

A44 DRONES ROAD,
ARMOY

Notice is hereby given in compliance with paragraphs 1 and
2 of Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern
Ireland) Order 1997 that the Department for Infrastructure, in
exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7(1) and (3)
of the said Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order
1997, proposes to impose the following temporary
speed limit:
40 miles per hour speed limit, commencing on Monday 16th
February 2026 and ending on Wednesday 4rd March 2026,
on the
A44 Drones Road, Ballymoney, from a point 180 metres
southeast of its junction with Church Road, route U526,
to a point 500 metres northeast of its junction with
Carrowcrin Road route U083.
being satisfied that traffic should be restricted or prohibited
because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near A44 Drones Road.
Traffic signs warning that the use of the road is subject to the
above speed limit restrictions and to indicate the nature and
extent of the restrictions will be erected on the road in
due course.
