Main Street, Barmby Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
MAIN STREET, BARMBY MOOR
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on foot/
whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along
Beckside, Barmby Moor. The reason for the closure is
to enable the proposed Beckside, Barmby Moor works,
to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated
that the works will be completed within three days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Main Street, Barmby Road, George Street, Grape
Lane, Railway Street, West Green, Hodsow Lane,
Hodsow Field Roundabout, Hodsow Lane Roundabout
and York Road, Allerthorpe CP, Barmby Moor CP,
Pocklington CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward, Wolds
Weighton Ward. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services. The Order
will commence 2 February 2026 and continue in
force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
