What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, WYRE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION OF BUS STOP CLEARWAYS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 23 January 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the following:
1) "The Borough Of Fleetwood (Bus Stops)(Clearway) Order 1974" in full.
2) "The Wyre Borough Council (Bus Stops)(Clearway) Order 1983" in full.
3) "The Borough Of Wyre (Fleetwood And Thornton Cleveleys) (Bus Stop Clearway) Order, 2001" in full.
4) "The Wyre Borough Council (Bus Stops)(Clearway) Order 1986" insofar as it relates to a bus stop clearway between 7am and 9am in the following lengths of road:
a) Poulton Road, between its junction with Queensway and its junction with Poulton Road;
b) Tithebarn Street, both sides, from its junction with Queensway and its junction with Poulton Road.
5) "The Borough Council Of Wyre (Various Roads)(Traffic Regulation)(No.1) Order 1995" insofar as it relates to Schedule 13.
6) "The Borough Of Wyre (Various Roads, Cleveleys) Traffic Regulation (No.1) Order 2001" insofar as it relates to Schedule 6.

This Order will come into force on the 06 February 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Wyre Borough Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

quoting ref: LSG4/894. 21417/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
