What is happening?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL

OLD EDINBURGH ROAD, BELLSHILL

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING &

NO LOADING) ORDER 2026

On 26 January 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle to wait or load (with the exception of vehicles engaged on electrical connections) on Old Edinburgh Road, Bellshill from junction of Philip Murray Road eastwards for a distance of 200m or thereby by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday 9 February 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Saturday 28 February 2026.
