What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Oving Rd, Whitchurch) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Oving Rd for approx. 52M. Alternative route: Oving Rd, Buckingham Rd, Hurdlesgrove Hill, Winslow Rd, Aylesbury Rd, Sheep St, Horn St, Granborough Rd, Marston Rd, High St, Portway, Marston Hill, Pulpit Ln, Whitchurch Ln, North Marston Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water repair fire hydrant works commence on 28 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Meadway, Oving) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Meadway for approx. 35M. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water stop tap replacement works commence on 23 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Well Ln, Wing) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Well La for approx. 92M. Alternative route: Well Ln, Ledburn, Park Gate, Aylesbury Rd, Leighton Rd, Stewkley Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Anglian Water meter replacement works commence on 16 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Marsh Rd, Shabbington) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Marsh Rd for approx. 247M. The closure is required whilst drainage works commence on 9 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 9 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Missenden Rd, Butlers Cross) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Missenden Rd for approx. 1862M. Alternative route: Longdown Hill, Cadsden Rd, Aylesbury Rd, Risborough Rd, Ellesborough Rd, Missenden Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst tree maintenance commence on 9 February 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 9 February 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Oakfield Rd, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Oakfield Rd for approx. 205M. Alternative route: Douglas Rd, Bierton Rd, Park Street, Vale Park Drive, High Street, Tring Road, Oakfield Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst SGN gas mains replacement works commence on 28 March 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 March 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 42/2 & 42/3, Parish of Amersham) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of AMS FP 42/3 & School Road and continues north east to the junction of AMS FP 42/2 & Hervines Road. There is no alternative route. The closure is required to enable urgent safety works on the railway. The Order will come into operation on 19 February 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
