B3206 Shawfield Road, Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B3206 Shawfield Road, Ash that extends from:- a) The northern side of its junction with D607 Alexandra Road, southwards for 30m, works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12 days from 02.02.26; b) The southern side of its junction with D72 Culverlands Crescent, southwards for 130m, works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6.30pm within 12 days from 16.02.26. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 sections, within 4 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Shawfield Road, Ash Street, Ash Church Road, Ash Hill Road, Shawfield Road Shawfield Road, Ash Hill Road, Ash Church Road, Ash Street and Shawfield Road.
New Park Road (D188) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of New Park Road (D188) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D188) Bridge Road south-eastwards for a distance of 85 metres. Alternative Route – Bridge Road; Mead Road; Kings Road; and New Park Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 08 February is required to facilitate telegraph pole replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Morrisons Telecom Services Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.
Green Street (C230) Sunbury-on-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 23 January 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Street (C230) Sunbury-on-Thames as extends from its junction with Stile Path (D6252) to a point 30 metres south of this junction; and (b) suspend “The London Traffic (Prescribed Routes) (Sunbury-on- Thames) (No.4) Regulations 1965” insofar as it affects that length of Green Street (C230) Sunburyon- Thames as extends from its junction with Thames Street (C234) to its junction with Stile Path (D6252) to enable egress from properties south of the closure.
Alternative route – Thames Street, The Avenue and Manor Lane.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 9 February 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Pitch Place (C29) Thursley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 23 January 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pitch Place (C29) Thursley as extends from its junction with Pitch Place Lane (D133) to the access for the property known as “March Hares”.
Alternative route – Thursley Road, Tilford Road, A287 (Tilford Road), A333 (Portsmouth Road), Hazel Grove (clockwise only), A3 (Hindhead Tunnel Road, Portsmouth Road and Milford By-Pass), A283 (Link Road, clockwise only), B3001 (Elstead Road and Milford Road), The Green, Thursley Road and Pitch Place, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Morrison Telecom Services Ltd to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 2.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Hogs Back (A31) Puttenham and Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 23 January 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hogs Back (A31) Puttenham and Guildford as extends from its junction with Puttenham Hill (B3000) to its junction with the A3 Guildford and Godalming By-Pass.
Alternative route – B3000 (Puttenham Heath Road), A3 (Guildford and Godalming By-Pass), Edgerton Road, The Chase, Madrid Road and Guildford Park Road.
This Order is required to enable National Highways to facilitate resurfacing works on the northbound Hogs Back entry slip road and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 February 2026 for 19 nights between the hours of 9.00pm and 6.00am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Hersham Road (A244) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of Hersham Road (A244) Walton On Thames as extends from its junction with (D3821) Oakfields to its junction with (A244) Ashley Road. Alternative Route: (A244) Ashley Road, (B365) Ashley Road, (A317) Queens Road, (A317) Hersham By-pass, (A244) Robinsway, and Hersham Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to allow gas mains repair works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 15.38pm and 23.59pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 01 February 2026 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council Hersham Road (A244) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 12 January 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) the dedicated left turn lane of Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton for a distance of 65 metres in a northerly direction to its junction with (D6263) Charlton Lane; (b) prohibit vehicles on the northbound carriageway of Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton from turning left into (D6263) Charlton Lane. Alternative Route: (A244) Upper Halliford By- Pass. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to facilitate telecom mask testing works with the use of a cherry picker for, or on behalf of Vodafone. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 5am, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. Access by emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, cyclists, via the diversion route. Smithwood Common Road (D191) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026 On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Smithwood Common Road (D191) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (B2128) Guildford Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Gascons”.
Alternative Route: Smithwood Common Road, Mannings Hill, Horseshoe Lane, (B2128) The Common, and (B2128) Guildford Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate mains water replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 16 days, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
D4021 Bryanstone Grove, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4021 Bryanstone Grove, Guildford. This Order is required to enable Circet to carry out ducting works and/or box installation works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 5 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no diversion route possible for this road closure.
D4014 Harvey Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D4014 Harvey Road, Guildford which extends from the western property boundary line of The Lodge, No.35 eastwards to its junction with Chesham Road; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Harvey Road (D4014) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors Ltd to carry out sewer works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route 1 – Chesham Road, Cooper Road, Addison Road and Harvey Road; Alternative Route 2 – Hunter Road, Epsom Road, Austen Road, Sydney Place, Sydney Road, Epsom Road and Harvey Road.
D3112 Wick Lane, Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3112 Wick Lane, Englefield Green which extends from its junction with Prospect Lane southwards to the southern property boundary line of Parkside Nursery Cottage. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – D3111 Bishopsgate Road, A328 St Judes Road, A30 London Road and D3112 Wick Road.
D176 Rams Lane, Dunsfold and D214 Woodhill Lane, Shamley Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 28 January 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in lengths of roads specified in the Schedule this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Mill Lane (D49) Pirbright Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mill Lane (D49) Pirbright as extends from its junction with Rapleys Field (D614) westbound to the end of the road.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate clearing blockages for cabling works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 February 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Staines Road West (A308) and Green Lane (D6220) Sunbury on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council (A308 Staines Road West (Part) Sunbury) (Bus Lane) Order 2004”.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate footway and cycleway improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Schedule
(a) Green Lane (D6220) Sunbury on Thames as extends from its junction with Staines Road West (A308) to a point 30 metres north of this junction. Alternative route – A308 (Staines Road West), Vicarage Road and Heathcroft Avenue, or this route in reverse. This closure is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day.
(b) Staines Road West (A308) Sunbury on Thames as extends from its junction with Cadbury Road (A244) to its junction with Sunbury Cross Roundabout (M3 Junction 1). Alternative route – A244 (Cadbury Road), Groveley Road and Vicarage Road.
NB. The bus lane is anticipated to be closed for 24-hours per day during the works.
D276 Plough Lane, Ewhurst Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D276 Plough Lane, Ewhurst that extends from the north-western property boundary of “Glendower”, to the north-eastern property boundary of “Shangani”. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of Traffic Management Operatives. Alternative route:- Plough Lane and Ewhurst Green.
A320 Bell Bridge Road, Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A320 Bell Bridge Road, Chertsey. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 5am, within 5 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time the Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the lengths of roads above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or preventing the likelihood of such danger arising. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of works via the alternative route:- Eastworth Road, Chertsey Road, St Peters Way and Guildford Road.
Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.48 and No.47 Markenfield Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.45 and No.44 Markenfield Road. Alternative Route: Nettles Terrace and Dapdune Road. (b) Markenfield Road (D4005) Guildford as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.35 and No.36 to its junction with (T7011) Markenfield Road Townpath. Alternative Route: Markenfield Road, (A320) Stoke Road, (A246) York Road, (A322) Woodbridge Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. For sub-paragraph (a) above: These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For sub-paragraph (b) above: These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 8pm and 5.30am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. High Street (D3143) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street (D3143) Egham as extends from its junction with (D7025) Wetton Place to its junction with the access to the property known as “United Church of Egham”.
Alternative Route: (B3407) Church Road. This Order is required to facilitate excavation of road crossing works for, or on behalf of OCU Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
North Munstead Lane (D651) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of North Munstead Lane (D651) Godalming. This Order is required to facilitate overhead telecom cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
C43 Old Lane, Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C43 Old Lane, Cobham/Mays Green (between its junction with A3 Portsmouth Road and its junction with Horsley Road; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council C43 Old Lane, Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 February 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/ directed by the gatemen on-site.
