A40, Hildersley – Temporary Speed Restriction due to Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A40 Aldersley To Weston Under Penyard, Hildersley, Temporary Speed Restriction Order, to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 30mph on the A40 Hildersley To Weston Under Penyard, Hildersley, from the existing 30mphNSL outside Chase View to approximately 150m east of the access to Model Farm. Grid Ref: 361216 / 224040 to 361748 / 223884.
The said restriction is required due to development led highway alteration works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said restriction will come into force on 23rd of February 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 7 months.
