ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 (MOORFIELD STREET, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Moorfield Street from the junction of Haugh Shaw Road to outside No. 7 Moorfield Street for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times via the diversion and vehicular access is maintained at all times via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Haugh Shaw Road, Emscote Grove, Emscote Street South, the unaffected part of Moorfield Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th February 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 20th March 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(OLD CROSS STONE ROAD, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sapphire Utility Solutions, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Old Cross Stone Road from the junction of Cross Stone Road to the junction of Millwood Lane for a distance of approximately 24 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Cross Stone Road and Halifax Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th February 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th February 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(NURSERY LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sunbelt Rentals Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Nursery Lane from outside Newlyn heading south-westwards for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times and vehicular access for residents is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Castle Road, the unaffected part of Nursery Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 09:30 and 15:30 hours daily during this period.
(LOWER BROCKWELL LANE, TRIANGLE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Poletek Communications, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lower Brockwell Lane from the rear of No. 174 Lower Brockwell Lane to the rear of No. 166 Lower Brockwell Lane for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Lower Brockwell Lane, Haugh End Lane, Quarry Hill, Sowerby Street, Rochdale Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 hours daily during this period.
(CHURCH STREET/NEW ROAD/SOUTH PARADE, HALIFAX)
(TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Galliford Try, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 20mph speed limit in the length of Church Street/New Road/South Parade from the junction of Horton Street to the junction of Hunger Hill for a distance of approximately 650 metres. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 13th February 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th May 2027. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(NEW ROAD, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Galliford Try, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of New Road from the junction of Union Street to the junction of Church Street for a distance of approximately 135 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times via the diversion and vehicular access is maintained at all times via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of New Road and Horton Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 13th February 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th May 2027. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(BURNSALL ROAD, BRIGHOUSE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Seddon Construction Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Burnsall Road from outside No. 55 Burnsall Road to outside No. 105 Burnsall Road for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Burnsall Road, Sherburn Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 16:00 hours daily during this period.
