Main Street, Willerby - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Enable Drainage Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC MAIN STREET, WILLERBY (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Main Street, Willerby (from the junction with Willerby Square Roundabout to a point south of Main Street Access to South View) commencing Monday 16 February 2026 at 09.00 hours until Friday 20 February 2026 at 15.00 hours to enable drainage works to be carried out.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Main Street, Great Gutter Lane East, Beverley Road and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for emergency services and pedestrians only. Further information can be obtained by contacting the council and asking for Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939. Ref: JS.
