(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:
(i) temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on the following roads throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary 20MPH speed limit on minor and non-classified roads:Appledram: Dell Quay;

(ii) temporarily close urban footpath. E370 High Path, Easebourne.
These restrictions are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2026 highways maintenance programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for up to 3 days.
Reduced speed limits may be required during the works and between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 1 February 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles and/or pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20MPH speed limit throughout the whole length (unless otherwise stated) of the flowing roads in Arun District:
BERSTED: A29 From Orchard Way to Rowan Way, Babsham Lane, Ex A259 at Elbridge Farm,
Ex A29, Gladius Way (A259), Oldlands Way From Shripney Road (A29) to Steyning Way, Romney
Boardwalk, Rowan Way from Shripney Road (A29) to Berghestede Road. BOGNOR REGIS: Argyle Circus, Argyle Road, Bassett Road, Canada Grove, Cavendish Road, Chapel Street, High Street From West Street to Bedford Street, Lennox Street From West Street to Belmont Street, Little High Street, Market Street, Ockley Road From Argyle Road to Gainsboro Road, Queensway, Sadler Street, Scott Street, Steyne Street, Sutherland Close, The Steyne, Waterloo Square, West Street.
BURPHAM: Peppering Lane, The Splash. EAST PRESTON: North Lane/Sea Road, Willowhayne Crescent. FELPHAM: Goodwood Avenue, South Road. These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.
The Order will come into effect on 2 February 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed programme of works is completed, whichever is earlier.

((Arun District) (Parking Places & Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2010)
(Bognor Regis: Various Roads) (Controlled Parking Zone Amendment) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact recently installed amendments to parking restrictions in the Bognor Regis Controlled Parking Zone as follows: The Steyne: double yellow lines at pedestrian crossing points mid-way along the road;
Sudley Road: To allow residents’ and visitors permit holders to use an additional parking bay on the western side of the road and extend the length of a pay and display bay on the eastern side of the road; John Street: to install double yellow lines on the northern side of the road at its eastern end.
The Order also enacts new bays for disabled persons’ blue badge holders at the southern end of Waterloo Square, at the southern end of West Street, at the eastern end of Aldwick Road (opposite the Royal Norfolk Hotel), the western side of Bedford Street, and on The Esplanade near its junction with Gloucester Road.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 2 February 2026, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 29 January 2026, apply to the High Court
