(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (B6438 Cairncross) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 February 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00. The Order is required for patching works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6438 from Cairncross to the A1.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A1, A1107 and B6438 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. N MCKINLAY, Director of Corporate Governance
