THE A45 TRUNK ROAD (BETWEEN

COLLINGTREE AND THRAPSTON,

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A45 Trunk Road, between Collingtree and Thrapston, in West and North Northamptonshire, to enable cyclical maintenance works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times, any layby adjacent to the A45 between the dumbbell roundabout junction with Saxon Avenue, the A508 Northampton Road and the M1 Junction 15 slips roads, near Collingtree, and the roundabout junction with the A14 and the A605, at Thrapston.

The layby closures will be carried out between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours and are expected to start on Thursday 19 February 2026 and continue for approximately five weeks. The Order will come into force on 16 February 2026. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
