SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) C94 (Part), Luckington and Alderton: from its junction with C84 for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out duct laying, blockage clearance and other associated works. Alternative route via C94 (unaffected length) – C71 – B4040 – C84 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 4 days. B) Elcot Lane (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction to enable Gigaclear to carry out road closure to safely span cable from pole to property. C) Seend Head (Part), Seend; from its property known as Seend Row Farm for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via Seend Head (unaffected length) – Row Lane – C226 – A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. F) The Green (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with Chapel Lane to its junction with Cuckoo Corner to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out reactive patching and other associated works. Alternative route via Blackboards Lane – B3098 – High Street – The Green (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) C132 (Part), Christian Malford; from its property known as Jemmadale for a distance of approximately 135m in a northerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out trenching, jointing and mains laying work and other associated works. Alternative route via C132 (unaffected length) – B4069 – C118 – C111 – C132 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 February 2026 and the closure will be required until 13 March 2026. H) Hollow Lane (Part), Grafton; from its property known as Malthouse for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out fire hydrant installation in the carriageway and other associated works. I) A342 (Part), Derry Hill and Studley; from its junction with UC 956801 for a distance of approximately 400m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via A342 (unaffected length) – A4 – A3102 – A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. J) UC 086801, Avebury; from its junction with A361 to its junction with A4 to enable Thames Water to carry out manhole cover work, sealing works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 23 February 2026 and the closure will be required Monday to Friday 08:00 – 20:00, Saturday 08:00 – 18:00, Sunday 09:00 – 18:00 until 23 March 2026. P) C205 (Part), Great Bedwyn; from a point approximately 15m south west of its junction with Pothecary Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out changing electricity poles either side of the road and upgrading the overhead conductor. Alternative route via C205 (unaffected length) – C30 – C205 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 6 days. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 03 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days.

R) B4069 (Part), Sutton Benger and Christian Malford; from its junction with Sutton Lane to its junction with Friday Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road marking & ironwork adjustment works and other associated works. Alternative route via B4069 (unaffected length) – C45 – C77 – C66 – B4069 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 until 10 February 2026. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 02 February 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 02 February 2026 and 27 March 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 18 (Part), Calne; from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 23m in a westerly direction to enable. Alternative route via existing adjacent paths. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 02 February 2026 and the closure will be required until 28 February 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (PARK ROAD, MALMESBURY)
(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Park Road, Malmesbury – from a point adjacent the western corner of property known as Build Base for a distance of 61 metres in a north westerly direction.
Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may also be seen at Malmesbury Library, 24 Cross Hayes SN16 9BG during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.30am to 7pm Friday, 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 23 February 2026.

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 2 February 2026.

The Wiltshire Council Parish of Marston Path no.1 (part) Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025
On 15 January 2026, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath at End Farm, Marston, known as Footpath no.1 Marston (part), running from its junction with Plough Lane (Path no.9 Marston) at OSGR ST 9696-5700, in a generally south-easterly direction for approx 195m to OSGR ST 9711-5688, having a recorded width of 0.6m - 1.2m, to a line running from OSGR ST 9711-5688 in a north-easterly direction for approx 50m to OSGR ST 9714-5692 and then leading north-north-west for approx 210m to its junction with Plough Lane (Path no.9 Marston), via a culvert to be provided over the ditch, at OSGR ST 9704-5711 and having a recorded width of 2m, as shown on the order map and thereupon the Devizes Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.

The order comes into force on 15 January 2026, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 29 January 2026, make an application to the High Court.
