What is happening?

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS STREETS, ELLESMERE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER



Shropshire Council proposes to introduce the following parking restrictions around in Ellesmere:

No Waiting At Any Time

Brownlow Road (southwest side).
From a point 9 metres northwest of its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 45 metres northwest of that junction.
Brownlow Road (northeast side).
From a point 9 metres northwest of its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 55 metres
Trimpley Street (southwest side)
Between a point 19 metres southeast of the centre of its junction with Stanham Drive and its junction with Victoria Street and Willow Street.

No Waiting or Loading At Any Time

Brownlow Road (Station Road on IGIS) (southwest side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 9 metres northwest of that junction.
Brownlow Road (Station Road on IGIS) (northeast side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 9 metres northwest of that junction.
Cambria Avenue (both sides)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 13 metres southwest of that junction.
Elson Road (South West Side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 23 metres northwest of its junction with Cambria Avenue.
Elson Road (South West Side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 23 metres northwest of its junction with Cambria Avenue.
Elson Road (north east side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 84 metres northwest of its junction with Cambria Avenue.
Stanham Drive (northwest side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 20 metres southwest of that junction.
Stanham Drive (southeast side)
From its junction with Trimpley Street to a point 19 metres southwest of that junction.
Trimpley Street (southwest side)
Between its junction with Elson Road and a point 19 metres southeast of the centre of its junction with Stanham Drive.

Prohibition of Stopping on School Keep Clear Markings

B5068 Elson Road (southwest side).
from a point 23 metres north west of its junction with Cambria Avenue for a distance of 31.56 metres.
A495 Oswestry Road (southeast side).
from the centre of the vehicle access to Lakelands Academy for a distance of 16 metres in a westerly direction and a distance of 9.56 metres in an easterly direction (25.56m total length).

(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce a 20mph Speed Limit Zone on the following lengths of roads in Ellesmere:

20mph Speed Limit Zone
That length of the B5068 Ellesmere to St. Martin’s Road (Elson Road) from a point 141 metres southeast of its junction with Cherry Drive (148m from its junction with Cambria Avenue) to its junction with Brownlow Road.

That length of the B5068 Ellesmere to St. Martin’s Road (Trimpley Street) from its junction with Brownlow Road to a point 61 metres west of its junction with Victoria Street.

The whole of the length of Beech Drive.
The whole of the length of Beech Grove.
The whole of the length of Cambria Avenue.
The whole of the length of David Philips Close.
The whole of the length of Oak Drive.
The whole of the length of Stanham Close.
The whole of the length of Stanham Drive.
The whole of the length of the unclassified sections of Oswestry Road access road which lies northwest and parallel to the A495 Oswestry Road.

That length of the A495 Oswestry to Whitchurch Road (Oswestry Road) from a point 151m north east of its junction with McCreadie Drive for a distance of 347m in a north easterly direction where it meets Scotland Street.

That length of the A495 Oswestry to Whitchurch Road (Scotland Street) from a point 24m west of its junction with Berwyn View for a distance of 23 metres in a westerly direction to where it meets A495 Oswestry Road.

Any existing speed limits at the above locations will be revoked.


INSTALLATION OF SPEED CUSHIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN ELLESMERE

Notice is hereby given that Shropshire Council, in exercise of their powers Under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to establish traffic calming in Ellesmere as follows:

A pair of speed cushions is proposed at the following locations. The speed cushions will be 75mm high, 2m long and 1.65m wide.

B5068 Elson Road from a point 86 metres northwest of its junction with Cambria Avenue.
A495 Oswestry Road 187m northeast of its junction with McCreadie Drive.
A495 Oswestry Road 245m northeast of its junction with McCreadie Drive.(178m gap)
A495 Oswestry Road from a point 119m west of the A495 Scotland Street junction with Berwyn View.
A495 Oswestry Road from a point 72m west of the A495 Scotland Street junction with Berwyn View.
