Temporary Prohibition of Use of Byway Open To All Traffic 1

Shropshire Council has made an order temporarily prohibiting the use of BOAT 1 in the Parishes of Hope Bowdler and Eaton Under Heywood, from where it leaves the road at grid reference SO 4757 9185 travelling in a general easterly direction across the Parish Boundary to where it meets Restricted Byway 27 and Footpath 28 at grid reference SO 4766 9184.
The Order will come into operation on 5th February 2026 for a period of up to 6 months or until works are completed whichever is soonest and is required on the grounds of public health and safety as part of the route has suffered a landslip.
Access on foot can be maintained using the surrounding right of way network.
