What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997
Notice of Proposed Special Event
Notice is hereby given that Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council by virtue of the powers conferred on it by Article 8A of, and
Schedule 3A, to the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 is minded to make an Order to temporarily restrict
or prohibit all traffic from using the following roads in accordance with details in the Schedule hereby to facilitate a 10K and 5K
Run by Carryduff Running Club. Where necessary, local diversions will be in operation and signed as appropriate.

Local diversions will be in place on, or part of, the following roads: Saintfield Road, Ballynahinch Road, Lessans Road,
Oughley Road, Drumalig Road, Old Belfast Road, Monolough Road, Monolough Road West and Comber Road. Marshalls will
be working to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum, and drivers must exercise caution at all times:
A copy of the proposed application and route map may be inspected, by appointment, free of charge at Lisburn & Castlereagh
City Council, Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL. Persons wishing to make representation to the
Council regarding the above proposal, may do so in writing to Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Environmental Services Risk
and Emergency Planning, Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, BT27 4RL by 16:00hours on 19 February 2026. Representations
made after this date will not be considered.
