Oxford, Temporary Road Closures Due To Electrical & Build-out Works

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Various Roads Rose Hill

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 16 February 2026

Coming into force: 23 February 2026

This Order is being introduced because of low voltage electrical works which are anticipated to be completed 26 June 2026. These are 24 hour daily road closures. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the lengths of the following roads:

i. Asquith Road, from outside No.4 to the junction of Ashurst Way

ii. Dashwood Avenue, from the junction of Ashurst Way to the junction of St Martins Road

iii. Fiennes Road, outside Nos 1 to 7

iv. Jersey Road, outside Nos.16A to 56A

v. Spencer Crescent, from outside No.20 to the junction of Ashurst Way

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road. Access will be maintained for cyclist and pedestrians. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17016/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 9 February 2026

Coming into force: 19 February 2026

This Order is being introduced because of roadside build-out works which are anticipated to be completed 20 March 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Davenant Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Woodstock Road, Sunderland Avenue, Banbury Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17036/AC)
