THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (MONKTONHALL COLLIERY ROAD, NEWTON, DANDERHALL) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2026 -TTRO/T4.311
Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate the installation of road crossings for Vatenfall pipework and widening of the junction, Monktonhall Colliery Road will be closed from its junction with A6106 Millerhill Road, north eastwards towards the train station for a distance of 250 metres or thereby. The Order has effect on 30 January 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 8 February 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffi c will be clearly sign posted.

Midlothian Council on 26 January 2026 made the above Order, which will come into force on 23 February 2026. The effect is to apply double yellow line waiting restrictions on a section of Dalhousie Road, Eskbank.

Midlothian Council on 26 January 2026 made the above Order, which will come into force on 23 February 2026. The effect is to apply double yellow line waiting restrictions on a section of Polton Road, Loanhead.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Midlothian Council has made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, prohibiting parking, waiting, loading and unloading within the carparking area at Bruce Gardens, Dalkeith (adjacent to block 31). The Order shall have effect on 30 January 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 8 March 2026. The restrictions are necessary to allow the use of the carparking area as a compound for the storage of materials to be used in connection with work being carried out by the Mining Remediation Authority.

The Order shall have effect on 30 January 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 8 March 2026. The restrictions are necessary to allow the use of the carparking area as a compound for the storage of materials and plant movements in connection with work being carried out by the Mining Remediation Authority.

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate the installation of a 12 inch pipe at the junction bellmouth on A6106 Lauder Road, James Lean Avenue will be closed from its junction with A6106 Lauder Road north eastwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby. The Order has effect on 30 January 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 8 March 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffi c will be clearly sign posted.

The Order has effect on 30 January 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 8 March 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffi c will be clearly sign posted.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 -TTRO/R 5.4.316
Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, A6094 Howgate, Penicuik will be closed from the Howgate roundabout to the B6372 crossroads. The Order has effect on 2 February 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 20 February 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffi c will be clearly sign posted.
