TEMPLARS WAY, SHARNBROOK 25 – 154

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Templars Way, Sharnbrook.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a foul water connection and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 14th February 2026 to 22nd February 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Templars Way, Rushden Road, Stocking Lane, Sharnbrook Road, Souldrop Road, High Street, Kennell Hill.

The reverse route applies.

AMPTHILL ROAD, KEMPSTON HARDWICK 25 – 121

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ampthill Road, Kempston Hardwick. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a survey and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 10th February 2026 to 12th February 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Elstow Bypass, A6 Wixams Bypass, Wilstead Bypass, Wilstead Hill, Deadmans Hill, Bedford Road, The Green, Ampthill To Maulden Bypass, Steppingley Road, Woburn Road, Woburn Street, Bedford Street, Hazelwood Lane.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Montgomery Close, Stewartby.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 9th February 2026 to 17th April 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Mill Road, Sharnbrook.

This temporary road closure is required to install surface water drainage including connection into existing outfall and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation

24 hours weekends only

28th February 2026 - 1st March 2026

7th March 2026 - 8th March 2026

14th March 2026 - 15th March 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

(STEWARTBY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS 1 AND 2))

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along Stewartby footpath nos 1 and 2 the length of which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0175 4460 to OS GR TL 0343 4413 to OS GR TL 0229 4332.

This closure is required to secure site for works, security and safety during development. The closure follows an emergency made on the 7th January 2026. The closure will continue from Thursday 29th January 2026.

There is no alternative routes for users while the closure is in operation. The Order will come into operation on 29th January 2026 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpaths have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
