LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1)

(Grosvenor Road, Headingley, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because electrical connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways; Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Grosvenor Road, Headingley; between its Junctions with Back Grosvenor Terrace and Grosvenor Mount. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on 2 February 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 13 February 2026.

(Springs Lane, Wetherby, Leeds)
(Temporary 40 MPH Speed Limit Restriction) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works to facilitate a new water main are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 40 MPH along Springs Lane, Wetherby; from a point 322 metres north of its junction with Main Street, for approximately 100 metres in either direction. The Order shall come into operation on Monday 2 February 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 6 February 2026. The speed limit restriction will be in place 24 hrs per day.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because Gas Mains replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Dorset Terrace or Back Dorset Terrace, Harehills, Leeds at their junctions with Harehills Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closures will be available via: Dorset Road, Sandhurst Road, Harehills Lane. The Order shall come into operation on 12 February 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 23 February 2026. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because service pipe replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Baker Crescent, Morley, Leeds, for its full length from the junction of Baker Street. The Order is intended to come into operation on 11 February 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 25 February 2026. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day.

Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because gas mains replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along: 1. Brown La East; from its junction with Top Moor Side to outside 19 Brown La East; 2. Runswick St between Top Moor Side & Bertrand St; 3. Crosby St; between Top Moor Side & Bertrand St; 4. Shafton La; between Domestic St & Crosby Pl; 5. St Matthew’s St; from outside St Matthew’s Community Centre to Domestic St; 6. Ingram Vw; from Domestic St to 118 Garforth House. Diversionary routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available and signposted. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The overall Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 2 March 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. A Coultate. Methley, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because Yorkshire Water infrastructure works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Watergate, Methley, Leeds; at its junction with Barnsdale Road and Church Side. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Church Side and Barnsdale Road, Methley, Leeds; at their junctions with Watergate. Diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closures will be available and signposted. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on 9 February 2026: The closure of Watergate is expected to commence on 9 February 2026 and is expected to be completed by 16 February 2026. The closure will be in place for 24 hrs each day. The closure of Barnsdale Road/ Church Side is expected to commence on 14 February 2026 and are expected to be completed by Sunday 22 February 2026. The closure will be in place for 24 hrs each day. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because new electricity connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Grosvenor Mount, Headingley, between its junctions with Grosvenor Road and the junction of Cliff Lane. Diversionary routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available: Eastbound – via Grosvenor Road, Headingley Lane, Woodhouse Lane, Cliff Road, Cross Cliff Road & Cliff Lane. Westbound – via Cliff Lane, Cross Cliff Road, Cliff Road, Woodhouse Street, Headingley Lane & Grosvenor Road. The Order is intended to come into operation on Wednesday 11 February 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 2 March 2026. The closure will be in place between 24 hours a day.

(City Wide) Order 2025 – Amendment Order No.13
2026: Armley Ward

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority (in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 25, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Orders, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions within the Armley Ward: 1. No Waiting at any Time on sections of: Castleton Rd, Cockshott La Elder Rd, Eyres Mill Side, Hopton Mews, Moorfield Rd, Raynville App/Dr/Rise, Tong Rd,  Winchester St & Wortley Rd. 2. No Waiting between 6.30am and 9.00am on a section of Cecil St. 3. Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Disabled Persons Badge (all days & hours) on Tong Rd (north side); from 13.5m west of Percy St, for 6.5m in a westerly direction. 4. Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Disabled Persons Badge (all days & hours; limited to 3 hrs – no return within 2 hrs) on Tong Rd, (north side); from 2.5 m east of Percy Street, for 6.5m in an easterly direction. Details of the proposals including plans showing the affected lengths of highway and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below. If you wish to object to, or make any representations concerning the proposed Order, you should write to TRO Team, City Development, Merrion House, Merrion Street LS2 8LX or e-mail troteam@leeds.gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 23 February 2026.
