CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

HAMMERTON STREET, BRADFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of Safer Roadworks (bridge inspection) works to be executed on or near Hammerton Street, Bradford has made the above-named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Hammerton Street from its junction with Bowling Back Lane to approximately 20 meters north of bridge.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Hammerton Street (unaffected section), Bowling Back Lane, Birksland Street, Mount Street, Jackson Street and vice versa.

The Order comes into operation at 09:00 hours on the 3? of February 2026 and remain in force until 15:00 hours on the 3?? of February 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
