(Pulborough: Public Footpath No. 2330)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 2330 Pulborough, from its southern end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 2331 (505502, 118992), northwards to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 2332 (505535, 119252), approximately 268M.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst excavation and high voltage cable installation works are undertaken to facilitate development on the land at New Place Farm. Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 16 February 2026 and will last for 6 months.

(Rusper: Public Footpath Nos. 1501 & 1502)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and which originally came into force on 4 August 2025, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 31 March 2027
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to major on-going construction works including high voltage cabling, demolition, groundworks and commissioning of a new electricity sub-station in relation to a multi-phase residential development. The effect of the order remains unchanged and is to close sections of:-
(i) Public Footpath No. 1501, from its junction with Horsham Road (520502.852, 137058.964) to its junction with East Street (520861.568, 137219.357); and
(ii) Public Footpath No. 1502, from its junction with Horsham Road (520555.413, 137210.687) to its junction with Public Footpath No. 1568 (521085.359, 136741.430) Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.

(Highways Maintenance Programme)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on the following roads throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30MPH speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary 20MPH speed limit on minor and non-classified roads: Amberley: High Titten; Houghton Bridge; Mill Lane; Stoke Road;
Billingshurst: B2133, from the A29 to Lordings Road Access Road; B2133, from the A29 to Marringdean Lane;
Bramber: A283, from High Trees roundabout junction to Castle Lane roundabout junction; Maudlin Lane, from Castle Lane roundabout junction to Clays Hill; Bramber/Steyning: Clays Hill/Bramber Road/High Street, from Castle Lane roundabout junction to Jarvis Lane;
Cowfold: Kent Street; Long House Lane; Picts Lane, from the A281 to Long House Lane;
Cowfold/Bolney: A272, between Oakfield Road and Wineham Lane; Cowfold/Lower Beeding: A281, from the A272 to Peppersgate; Fittleworth/Stopham/Pulborough: A283, from Church Lane to the A29;

Upper Beeding: School Road, from Church Lane to Deacons Way;
Warnham: A24, from Knob Hill to Marches Road; A24, from the Great Daux roundabout junction to the Surrey County Boundary;
West Chiltington: B2133, from Marringdean Road to Coolham Road; Nightingales;
West Grinstead: Honeybridge Lane; Wiston/Steyning: A283, from The Hollow to Horsham Road.
These restrictions are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2026 highways maintenance programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for up to 3 days. Reduced speed limits may be required during the works and between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 1 February 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles and/or pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
