ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF LEA BROOK LANE WENTWORTH ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles proceeding along that part of Lea Brook Lane from Hoober Stand for a distance of approximately 350m in a westerly direction from Monday 9th February until Wednesday 11th February 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Lea Brook Lane, Coaley Lane, Cortworth Lane, Angel Lane, Hoober Lane, Hoober Field Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Access to Telecom apparatus).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF HALL CLOSE AVENUE SERVICE ROAD 2 WHISTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Hall Close Avenue service road 2 from its most easterly junction with Hall Close Avenue for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction from Friday  6th February until Thursday 12th February 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Hall Close Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Manor Road from its junction with the B6089 Brampton Road, for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction from 8am on Monday 2nd February until 6pm on Friday  14th February 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6089 Brampton Road, Westfield Road, Manor Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Construction of vehicle access crossing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of The Wapping from its junction with Doncaster Road for a distance of approximately 152m in a south easterly direction from Monday 9th February until Wednesday 11th February 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecommunications works).

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A631 Bawtry Road Bus Lane, Hellaby from the western kerb line of Greenhill Avenue for a distance of approximately 250m in a westerly direction on Sunday 8th February 2026.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Water connection).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to impose changes to the speed limit affecting the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

A copy of the proposed Order, a map relating to it and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Rotherham Borough Council, Riverside House, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE.

Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it can be sent to the undersigned at the address given below (quoting reference NF/83661, e-mail: Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk) and must be received by the undersigned not later than 27th February 2026. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham proposes to make the abovementioned Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order if implemented will be to introduce to Schedule 17 ‘One Way Streets’ of The Rotherham Borough Council (The South Yorkshire County Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Measures Consolidation) Order 1985 to the parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice;

Thorpe Street from its junction with Barnsley Road to its junction with Wentworth Road in a westerly direction.

Wentworth Road from its junction with Thorpe Steet to its junction with Chapelfield Road in a westerly direction.

Exemptions will apply to the restrictions for emergency service vehicles and cyclists. Copies of the proposed Order a map showing the length and side of the roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council’s Offices at the address shown below.

Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it  can be sent to the undersigned (quoting reference NF/83660, e-mail  Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk) at the address shown below and must be received by the undersigned no later than the 27th February 2026. (TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily revoke part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 60 miles hour to 40 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of B6463 Lamb Lane from a point approximately 300m east of the eastern kerbline of Ramper Road for a distance of approximately 255m in an easterly direction from Monday 9th February until Thursday  12th February 2026.

The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed  to be executed on or near the road (Safety of highway personnel whilst  undertaking works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 2nd February and Friday 20th March 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Installation of new water supply).

SCHEDULE

(i)     Grove Road between its junction with Barnsley Road and its junction with Milton Close (the alternative route will be via a local diversion).

(ii)    Grove Close – the whole length (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac).

(iii)   Edward Road – the whole length (the alternative route will be via a local diversion).

(iv)   West Mount Avenue – the whole length (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the five parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 9th February until Friday 13th February 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 5am.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i)     A618 Moorgate Road from its junction with Brunswick Road for a distance of approximately 410m in a south easterly direction (the alternative route will be via A618 Moorgate Road, A631 East Bawtry Road, A631 Worry Goose Island Roundabout, A6123 Herringthorpe Valley Road, A6123 Stag Roundabout, A6021 Wickersley Road, A6021 Broom Road, A6021 Clifton Lane Roundabout, A6178 Wellgate, A6178 Hollowgate and vice versa).

(ii)    Brunswick Road (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets). (iii)  Rencliffe Avenue (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(iv)   Sitwell Vale (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

(v)    Oakwood Road West (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 20th. January 2026 which comes into effect on the 2nd. February 2026. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 18th April 2024. The Order shall impose changes to the speed limit affecting the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

SCHEDULE

In relation to Schedule No.2 thereto, Speed Restricted Roads 20mph there were

inserted the following items:-

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 9th February until Wednesday  11th February 2026 between 8pm and 5am each day.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i)     Manvers Way from Brookfield Drive roundabout to Meadows Road roundabout (the alternative route will be via Manvers Way, Manvers Way/ Station Road Roundabout, Station Road, Dearneway Roundabout, Doncaster Road, Manvers Way/ Wath Road Roundabout, Manvers Way - and vice versa).

(ii)    Meadows Road from its junction with Manvers Way roundabout for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction (there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac).
