Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to revoke the speed limit association with the National Grid bellmouth works and re-instate the original speed limit on the A370 Congresbury between Congresbury and Hewish. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice.

Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object to the proposal) you should make them in writing to David Bailey, Lead Engineer, Environment, Assets & Transport Services Directorate, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ or email: traffic.orders@n-somerset.gov.uk quoting reference SLTR/DB/2601 by 5pm on 20 February 2026. Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No.19) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 22 January 2026 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to extend existing double yellow lines in Long Ashton, create a new loading bay and extend existing loading bay, in Weston-super-Mare. The order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at https://streets.appyway.com/north-somerset
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Oldmixon Road and Hutton Hill, Hutton, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into force: 23 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedules to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions, any vehicle associated with the works and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work.
This order is required in the interest of public safety and to facilitate kerb build out and associated road marking. It will become operative on the 23 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated, which is expected to be for 5 nights in duration between 7pm and 11.59pm. Appropriate traffic signs, cones, road safety barriers and traffic diversion route signage will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – Phase 1 Oldmixon Road, Hutton from the junction of Church Lane to a point in a westerly direction along said road for 72m. Phase 2 Hutton Hill, Hutton from its junction with Canada Coombe to its junction with Vereland Road.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Footpath AX14/15/10, Churchill, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026
Date coming Into Force: 9 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Vistry Homes for excavation for development works (subject to any planning consent). This order will become operative on the 9 February 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of at least 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access joint box for cabling work and pole test work. This order will become operative on the 23 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for a lead pipe replacement. This order will become operative on the 8 April 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access an underground structure. This order will become operative on the 14 April 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to assist with manhole chamber replacement works on Beach Road. This order will become operative on the 16 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 2 March 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
