ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
 (HIGH STREET, SCALDWELL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of High Street, Scaldwell as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of High Street, Scaldwell from the junction of Holcot Lane to East End.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new electric connection works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 6 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Old Road, Lamport Road, High Street, A508 and Scaldwell Road.

(PRESTON DEANERY ROAD, HACKLETON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Preston Deanery Road, Hackleton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Preston Deanery Road, Hackleton – from Preston Deanery Court to Preston Deanery Hall.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Birds Hill Walk, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Birds Hill Walk footpath to rears of the school.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new water main works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 7 days.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Victoria Road, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Victoria Road, Northampton from the junction with Wellingborough Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to a fire hydrant.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Middleton Road, Chacombe from the junction of Thorpe Road to Thornhill.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during pipe repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Fawsley Road, Northampton from the junction of Queen Eleanor Road to Hereward Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during pipe repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Eastcote Road, Gayton from Tiffield Road to Back Lane.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during overhead telecom works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of St James Road, Northampton from exit of bus stop by Halford Autocare to pedestrian crossing.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during works on water main.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 2nd February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Cowpastures Lane, Whittlebury and Shutlanger Road, Paulerspury from A413 to A5

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during construction of a new road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
