What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC Clarence Road,
Bridlington
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the entire length of Clarence Road, Bridlington commencing 23 February 2026 for the purpose of carriageway maintenance work. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 1 day. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Princess Street, Princess Terrace, B1254 Promenade, Lansdowne Road, Bridlington CP, Bridlington South Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic, but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
