What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
B6049 BLACKWELL DALE,
PRIESTCLIFFE DITCH
WHEN: 13 February 2026 (between 09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Blackwell Dale, Priestcliffe Ditch between Springhill and Jct. with Priestcliffe Ditch. REASON: To facilitate tree works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Blackwell Dale, B6049 Buxton Road, Market Place, Whitecross Road, A623 Main Road, Castlegate Lane, Monsal Head, Ashford Lane, Greaves Lane, Betty Lane, A6 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
