What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding on foot/whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along part of Temple Lane, Carnaby from its junction with A614 Main Street northbound for approximately 20 metres commencing 16 February 2026 until 6 March 2026 (traffic lights will be also in place on A614 Main Street, Carnaby as part of this work).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed part of Temple Lane, Carnaby alterations to the junction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 19 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via: A614 Main Street, Temple Lane, Church Lane, Temple Lane, Carnaby CP, East Wolds and Coastal Ward The road will be closed to all through traffic, but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians. The Order will commence on 16 February 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
