What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BILSTON ROAD) (BUS LANE SUSPENSION)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, suspending Bilston Road bus lane to enable all traffic to use this section of the highway. The suspension shall apply 170 metres north of Culwick Street junction to Ettingshall Road junction (inbound).
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the suspension will operate from 00:00 on 31st January 2026 until 05:00 on 1st February 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate chamber investigation works by City of Wolverhampton Council.
