THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL Jewison Lane Level Crossing, Sewerby
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding along Jewison Lane Level Crossing, Sewerby and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 21 February 2026
22:00 hours until 22 February 2026
09:30 hours and 22 February 2026
21:00 hours until 23 February

06:30 hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Jewison Lane Level Crossing, Sewerby replacing the road traffic lights works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 2 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via: Jewison Lane, Short Lane, Bempton Lane, B1255 Marton Road, B1255 Marton Road Roundabout, B1255 Marton Gate, B1255 Marton Gate Roundabout, Sheeprake Lane, Bridlington CP, Bridlington Central and Old Town Ward, Bridlington North Ward The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles. The Order will commence on 21 February 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
