NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026.
THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF HIGHLEY, FOOTPATH 37 (PART)
PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2026.
The above-named order made on 29th January 2026 by the Shropshire Council (“the Council”) under section 118 and 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert 215 metres of FP 39 and extinguish 240 mettres of FP 37 which run between Elizabeth Grove and Church Road in Highley.

outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way Team, Shropshire Council, Riggs Hall, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, SY1 2AS or by email to outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk not later than 26th February 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
