PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(REGENT STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Regent Street in both directions from its junction with Prouds Lane to outside property 10.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 9 February 2026 until 12 February 2026.
The diversion route is: Proud’s Lane, Wellington Road, Dover Street and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a new water connection by Severn Trent Water.
