What is happening?

CAMBRIDGSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Station Road & Long Drove, Holme Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10026

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road & Long Drove, Holme as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B660; Glatton Ln, Glatton; B1043; A15; B1091; B1092; B1095; B1040; B660 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23:00hrs 6/2 & 11:00hrs 7/2/26.

Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10029

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside as lies between Marriotts Drove & Oilmills Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; Stocking Fen Rd, Ramsey; Muchwood Ln C89; Bodsey Toll Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16/2 & 19/2/26.

Bullock Road & Gidding Road, Sawtry; Steeple Gidding Road, Steeple Gidding Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10141

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bullock Road & Gidding Road, Sawtry; Steeple Gidding Road, Steeple Gidding as lies between The Coppice & Glebe Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St; Fen Ln; Bill Hall Wy; Toll Bar Wy; Coppingford Rd; Coppingford Rd, Coppingford; Hamerton Rd, Upton; Alconbury Rd, Hamerton; Gidding Rd; Hamerton Rd, Steeple Gidding & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential carriageway maintenance, sign replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 3/2/26.

Overcote Lane, Needingworth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10195

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Overcote Lane, Needingworth as lies between Overcote Farm & The Barn. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3/2 & 5/2/26.

Holme Fen, Holme Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10199

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Holme Fen, Holme as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Holme Fen, Holme; New Long Drove; B660; Yaxley Rd; Hod Fen Drove & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23:00hrs 22/2 & 06:00hrs 23/2/26.

High Street, Great Paxton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10201

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Great Paxton as lies between Nos.?58 & 64. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043; The Causeway, Godmanchester; B1044; A1198; A428; B1428; B1043 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new sewer connection, footway construction & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/2 & 13/2/26.

Footpath Between The Whaddons & Buttsgrove Way, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-10203

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath Between The Whaddons & Buttsgrove Way, Huntingdon as lies between Nos.?1 to 11 & Nos.?114 to 127 respectively. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/8/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9/2 & 13/2/26.

Willow Farm Close, Alconbury Weston Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10217

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Willow Farm Close, Alconbury Weston as lies between Willow Farm & The Old Stables. The alternative route for vehicles is via North Rd; Buckworth Rd; Alconbury Weston Rd; Hamerton Rd, Buckworth; Buckden Rd, Hamerton; Leighton Rd; Main St; Alconbury Rd; Hamerton Rd, Upton; Hamerton Rd, Alconbury Weston & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/2 & 4/2/26.

Field Cottage Road, Eaton Socon Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10220

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Field Cottage Road, Eaton Socon as lies between Great North Road & Barley Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1428; Brook Rd, Eaton Ford; Field Cottage Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 18/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 17/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18/2 & 20/2/26.

Holme Fen, Holme Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10225

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Holme Fen, Holme as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21/2 & 22/2/26.

St Marys Road, Ramsey Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-10235

Is to impose a 40mph & 30mph speed limit along St Marys Road, Ramsey as lies between Innisfree & IKO ECO House. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate overhead cabling & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 14:30hrs on 17/2/26.

Glatton Road, Sawtry Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10250

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Glatton Road, Sawtry as lies between Sawtry Business Park & Burghmont Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Glatton Rd; High St; Fen Ln; Tinkers Ln; St Andrews Way; B1043; B660; Sawtry Rd, Glatton; Sawtry Rd, Connington & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of a new water main, meter & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9/2 & 13/2/26.

St Felix Road, Ramsey Forty Foot Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10270

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Felix Road, Ramsey Forty Foot as lies between Sandringham Drive & B1096. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 24/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24/2 & 24/8/26.

Bearscroft Lane, Godmanchester Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10278

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bearscroft Lane, Godmanchester as lies between side of No.?30 Baumgartner & Bearscroft Farm Bungalow. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installing gullies, road surfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9/2 & 13/2/26.

Ambury Road Southbound, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10280

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding southbound along Ambury Road, Huntingdon as lies between No.?19b & California Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Sallowbush Rd; Redwongs Wy; St Peters Rd; B1044; B1514; Ambury Rd. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas mains replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9/2 & 27/2/26.

Spittals Way A141, The Stukeleys & Footpath Between Spittals Way & Huntingdon Retail Park, Huntingdon Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-10295

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Spittals Way A141, The Stukeleys & Footpath Between Spittals Way & Huntingdon Retail Park, Huntingdon as lies between Footpath Between Spittals Way & Huntingdon Retail Park to approximately 100m south west; Spittals Way A141 & Footpath From Latham Road To Huntingdon Bridleway 21. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/8/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/2 & 2/3/26.

Cross Drove, Warboys Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10365

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cross Drove, Warboys as lies between A141 & High Fen Crooked Drove. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway patching & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/2/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/8/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/2 & 5/8/26.

Various Roads, West Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10154

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/2/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 31/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
