SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH 21, WOOLVERSTONE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 21, Woolverstone to facilitate water main works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

There will be no alternative route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 - 13/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C606 MILDENHALL ROAD, WEST ROW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C606 Mildenhall Road, West Row from the junction with Victoria Close for 50 metres westbound to facilitate a new electricity supply.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Beeches Road, Jarmans Lane, Mildenhall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 - 30/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATHS 32, 33 AND 35, EAST BERGHOLT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing:

* Footpath 32, East Bergholt from 451 metres south of Flatford Road for 39 metres south westbound

* Footpath 33, East Bergholt from the junction with Footpath 35 to Footpath 32

* Footpath 35, East Bergholt from 310 metres south of Flatford Road to Footpath 33

This is to facilitate resurfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversions routes will be:

* North and West of closure – Footpath 35, Flatford Road, The Street, Cemetery Lane, Footpath 2, Restricted Byway 22, Footpath 12A, Footpath 36 and vice versa

* South of closure – Footpath 34, Footpath 44, Field centre and Slipway Road, Flatford Road, Footpath 47, Footpath 35 and vice versa

* East of closure – Footpath 34, Footpath 47, Flatford Road, Field centre and Slipway Road, Footpath 44, Footpath 32 and vice versa

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 07/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7072 Queens Lane, Chevington from 230 metres south of Ufford property for 340 metres southbound to facilitate telecommunications pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Queens Lane, Chevington Road, Chedburgh Road, Old Post Office Road, Queens Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 26/01/2026 from 9.30am – 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U6330 THIEVES LANE AND BROADWAY, PAKENHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6330 Thieves Lane, Pakenham and U6330 Broadway, Pakenham to facilitate bridge parapet repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Thurston Road, the A143, Mil Road, Fen Road, Broadway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 30/01/2026 from 7.30am – 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C432 WOOLPIT ROAD, DRINKSTONE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C432 Woolpit Road, Drinkstone from Burts Farm Cottages for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Green Road, The Street, Church Street, Elmswell Road, the A1088 from District Boundary to A14, Woolpit Road, Church Road, New Road, Road near Ticehurst Farm, Woolpit Road, Tostock Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 28/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 MAIN ROAD, BENHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A12 Main Road, Benhall from the junction with Park Road for 930 metres eastbound to facilitate the construction of the Friday Street Roundabout. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1094, the B1069, the A1120, the B1116, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

    • 26/01/2026 – 30/01/2026 from 8pm – 5am

    • 02/02/2026 – 06/02/2026 from 8pm – 5am

  • 09/02/2026 – 13/02/2026 from 8pm – 5am

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE U5624 LITTLE CRESCENT AND U5625 VAUGHAN STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

* U5624 Little Crescent, Ipswich from no. 12 to Vaughan Street

* U5625 Vaughan Street, Ipswich from Little Crescent to Turin Street.

This is to facilitate laying ducting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Vaughan Street, Little Crescent, Hartley Street, Kenyon Street, Turin Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 28/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3315 Tuddenham Lane, Rushmere St Andrew from Seven Cottages Lane for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Humber Doucy Lane, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 28/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4523 Charles Tye, Ringshall from Miles End Cottage for 180 metres southbound to facilitate overhead line and pole works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Charles Tye, Wattisham Road, Stowmarket Road, Straight Road, Mill Road, Bildeston Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 26/01/2026 from 9.30am – 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5432 Mellis Road, Thornham Parva from Bull Road to Chapel Farm Lane to facilitate duct laying works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Mellis Road, the A140, Major Lane, Mellis Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 28/01/2026 from 9.30am – 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C674 BOYTON END, STOKE BY CLARE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C674 Boyton End, Stoke by Clare from Travellers Rest to 20 metres north of the bridge to facilitate a bridge inspection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Silver Street, Kings Hill, the B1061, the A1017, the A1092 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 26/01/2026 from 8am – 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Church Road, Top Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 30/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE U2507 NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2507 Northumberland Avenue, Bury St Edmunds from Lancaster Avenue to Suffolk Road to facilitate footway reconstruction works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Northumberland Road, Baldwin Avenue, Lancaster Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 24/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE C312 TOP ROAD AND BOULGE ROAD AND THE U3410 LOW ROAD, HASKETON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

    1. * the C312 Top Road, Hasketon from the junction with Boulge Road to the junction with the U3410 Low Road

      * the U3410 Low Road, Hasketon from the junction with the C312 Top Road to the junction with the U3409 road from the C312 to the U3410

  1. * the C312 Top Road, Hasketon from the junction with Blacksmiths Road to the junction with the C312 Boulge Road

    * the C312 Boulge Road, Hasketon from the junction with the C312 Top Road to The Laurels.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

    1. Low Road, the road to Hasketon, Whitehouse Farm Road, Boulge Road and vice versa

  1. Boulge Road, the C309 road from the A12, the A12 Melton, the A12 Hasketon, Grove Road, Manor Road, Blacksmiths Road, Low Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

    1. 26/01/2026 – 10/02/2026

  1. 11/02/2026 – 24/02/2026

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Church Road, Station Road, the A137 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 26/01/2026 from 9.30am – 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C369 OLD BARRACK ROAD FOOTWAY, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C369 Old Barrack Road Footway, Woodbridge from no. 11 to no. 34 to facilitate a gas main replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the footway adjacent to Old Barrack Road, Bullards Lane, the footpath at the rear of Pembroke Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/01/2026 – 06/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 16, HASKETON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 16, Hasketon at the bridge for safety reasons due to a severely damaged bridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Footpath 17, Footpath 20, Footpath 19, Footpath 31 and vice versa.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 06/01/2026

It is intended that the closure will operate until 05/07/2026, (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON THE B1063 COWLINGE CORNER

AND B1063 ROAD FROM THE COUNTY BOUNDARY TO THE A143, LIDGATE

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the following roads:

* B1063 Cowlinge Corner, Lidgate

* B1063 road from the County Boundary to the A143, Lidgate.

This is to facilitate the installation of traffic lights. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 27/01/2026 – 27/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1204 New Road, Rumburgh from 140 metres south of the junction with The Street for 100 metres southbound to facilitate tree removal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Mill Road, Banks Lane, New Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/02/2026 – 06/02/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
