Shilo Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(SHILO WAY, AWSWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (BX26-023)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Awsworth in the Borough of Broxtowe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding Northbound in the following length of road:
2. Shilo Way, Awsworth (Northbound) - From its junction with A6096 Coronation Road to its junction with A610 Kimberley/Eastwood Bye pass
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:30 hours on Monday 26th January 2026
Until 16:00 hours on Friday 6th February 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A6096 Shilo Way - A6096 Millership Way - A6096 Rutland Street - A6007 Heanor Road - A6007 Hassocks Lane South - A6007 Hardy Barn - A6007 Ilkeston Road - A608 Church Street - A608 Mansfield Road - A608 Station Road - A608 Derby Road - A610 Kimberley/Eastwood Bye Pass and Vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 26th January 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable P Hughes Construction to carry out Resurfacing works.
