Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
B2008 Minster Road & Waterloo Hill, Minster-on-sea. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2008 Minster Road & Waterloo Hill, Minster-on-sea from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 23rd February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
B2008 Minster Road will be closed between the junction with Waterloo Hill and number 505, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for through traffic is via B2008 Minster Road, A250 Queenborough Road, A249, Lower Road Roundabout, A2500 Lower Road, Forty Acres Hill, Lower Road, B2008 Eastchurch Road, Chequers Road, Chapel Street, High Street and Back Lane.
Waterloo Hill will be closed at the junction with B2008 Minster Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for through traffic is via Union Road, Queens Road, Baldwin Road, B2008 Chapel Street, High Street, Back Lane and vice versa.
Bell Farm Lane, Minster-on-sea, ME12 4HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bell Farm Lane, Minster-on-sea from 20:00 hours on 4th February 2026, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 5th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Plough Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Does Alley, Sittingbourne, ME10 4PG (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting pedestrians on part of Does Alley, Sittingbourne from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 18th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The footpath will be closed in the vicinity of Sittingbourne Methodist Church, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for pedestrians is via High Street, Grafton Road and A2 St Michaels Road.
Grove Road, Selling, ME13 9RR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grove Road, Selling from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 18th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Cherry Tree Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Perry Wood, Shepherds Hill, Grove Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, ME10 2AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne from 20:00 hours on 18th February 2026, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 19th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Brewery Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Crown Road, Staplehurst Road Roundabout, B2006 St Pauls Street, King Street, Mill Way, Saffron Way, North Street, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hope Street, Sheerness, ME12 1EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hope Street, Sheerness from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 18th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 26, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Buckland. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow railway crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Buckland from 8th February 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Norton Lane, A2 London Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road, Luddenham Hill, Bysing Wood Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lynsted Lane, Lynsted, ME9 9RR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lynsted Lane, Lynsted from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 13th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A2 London Road and Orchard House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road Teynham, Faversham Road, The Street, Chequers Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Old House Lane, Hartlip, ME9 7SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old House Lane, Hartlip from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 7th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Bull Lane and Rozel Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northeast through traffic is via Bull Lane, A2 High Street, London Road, Lower Hartlip Road and Old House Lane.
The alternative route for any northwest through traffic is via Lower Hartlip Road, A2 London Road, Playstool Road, Bull Lane and Old House Lane.

Poot Lane, Upchurch, ME9 7EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Poot Lane, Upchurch from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of River View Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Poot Lane, Wetham Green and vice versa.

To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Porters Lane, Ospringe from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 19th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with A251 Ashford Road and North Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A251 Ashford Road, North Street, A2 Canterbury Road, London Road, Brogdale Road, Porters Lane and vice versa.

Rawling Street, Milstead, ME9 0RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rawling Street, Milstead from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 4th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Rawling Street Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slough Road, Sawpit Road, Bluetown Lane, Manor Road, Torry Hill, Milstead, Frinstead Road and vice versa.

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Staple Street, Hernhill from 16th February 2026, with estimated completion by 19th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Fairbrook Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Thanet Way, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton-By-Pass, Canterbury Road, Stockers Hill, The Street, Staplestreet Road, Staple Street and vice versa.

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Bredgar from 18th February 2026, with estimated completion by 21st February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Gore Road and Bexon Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Tunstall Road, Ruins Barn Road, Bexon Lane and vice versa.

To allow carriageway patching works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Wall, Sittingbourne from 22nd February 2026 with estimated completion by 27th March 2026, Sunday to Thursday nights only between the hours of 23:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with B2006 Mill Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Upper St Anns Road, Faversham, ME13 8QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Upper St Anns Road, Faversham from 01:00 hours on 8th February 2026, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 9th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Athelstan Road and the railway crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Vicarage Lane, Ospringe. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Vicarage Lane, Ospringe from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 5th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Brook Manor, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vicarage Lane, Brogdale Road, Whitehill, Eastling Road, Painters Forstal Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

Warden Road, Eastchurch. (TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 20 mph speed restriction on part of Warden Road, Eastchurch from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 4th February 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The temporary 20 mph speed restriction on Warden Road, Eastchurch will be imposed between Rides House Farm and number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Various Roads, Lower Halstow, Lynsted, Tonge, Newington & Graveney. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2026
To allow street cleansing and litter picking works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of various roads in Lower Halstow, Lynsted, Tonge, Newington & Graveney from 2nd February 2026, with estimated completion by 6th February 2026, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only, or until works have been completed. Planned dates will be indicated in advance by signage displayed on site 14 days before the works start. Only one road will be closed at any one time.
