What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

Cross Lane West, Gravesend, DA11 7QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cross Lane West, Gravesend, on or after 19th February 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 28.

The alternative route is via



Downs Road, Istead Rise, DA13 9HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Downs Road, Istead Rise, on or after 16th February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 209.

The alternative route is via Downs Road, Arcadia Road, A227 Wrotham Road, Nash Bank and vice versa.



Russell Road, Gravesend, DA12 2SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Russell Road, Gravesend, on or after 16th February 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 14.

The alternative route is via Russell Road, Suffolk Road, Norfolk Road and vice versa.



Springhead Enterprise Park, Northfleet, DA11 8FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of repairs to a collapsed sewer in the carriageway, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Springhead Enterprise Park, Northfleet, on or after 2nd February 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the entrance to units D1/D9 and B1/B2.

The alternative route is via Springhead Enterprise Park, B262 Springhead Road and vice versa.
