What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Coach Road (Part), Heywood and Westbury; for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge and associated works. Alternative route via Coach Road (unaffected length) – Trowbridge Road – Bitham Park and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:30 and 06:30 for 1 night. B) Kingsfield (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Woolley Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out clearance of duct blockages and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. C) A350 (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Bitham Park to its junction with Frogmore Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out reactive patching and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 3 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: F) Ham Green, Holt; from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Gaston. G) Gaston, Holt; from its junction with Ham Green to its junction with The Star. H) The Star, Holt; from its junction with Gaston to its junction with Station Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route via Station Road – B3107 and vice versa. This Order which previously commenced on 12 November 2025 will now recommence on 30 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 06 February 2026. I) Pool Green (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Leafield Road to outside its property known as No.03 Pool Green to enable Openreach to carry out excavation works and other associated works. J) C220 (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with B3353 for a distance of approximately 1.1km in a north easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C220 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3353 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 26 January 2026 and the closure will be until 19:00 on 27 March 2026. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 1 day. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 28 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 1 day. O) A350 (Part), Longbridge Deverill and Warminster; from its junction with Dry Hill to its roundabout junction with A36 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A36 – A303 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously commenced on 14 November 2025 will now recommence on 30 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 19 February 2026. C) Footpath 30, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Newtown. D) Footpath 31, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Newtown to its junction with The Wilderness. E) Footpath 52, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Footpath 31, Bradford on Avon to its junction with Priory Close. F) Footpath 88, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Wine Street to its junction with Footpath 42, Bradford on Avon. M) Footpath 86, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Footpath 42, Bradford on Avon to its junction with Footpath 46, Bradford on Avon to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out mains replacement and associated works. No alternative route is available for A and B. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 and the closures will be required until 08 April 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order for A and B will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:
Footpath 8 (Part), Hilperton; from its junction with Elizabeth Way to its junction with Footpath 54, Trowbridge to enable development of 151 new homes and infrastructure works. No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 30 January 2026 and the closure will be required until 30 April 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.

NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL PARISH OF CORSLEY PATH NO.7 AND PARISH OF SELWOOD (SOMERSET) PATH FR/14/24 (part) DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above named order, made on 15th January 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width and length of the path known as Corsley 7 in the county of Wiltshire, leading from its junction with the U/C9006 at OS grid reference ST 8108 4504, in the vicinity of High House Farm, Corsley, BA12 7NS, in a broadly south-westerly and westerly direction for approximately 140 metres to ST 8097 4500. Then the spur of that path leads south-westerly for approximately 540 metres to its junction with Corsley Path No.47 at ST 8053 4470. Also, a short turn and picket right of way from ST 8097 4500 leads broadly north-westerly to the Wiltshire and Somerset County Boundary at ST 8068 4519, the length of that path being recorded as the public right of way known as FR/14/24, across the water approximately 350 metres. These paths will be diverted over a new route, that new routing will lead from OS grid reference ST 8115 4523, via a new pedestrian gate from the U/C road, crossing the cattle track and entering the field via a second pedestrian gate, then leading in a broadly west-north-westerly direction on the southern side of the field boundary and water course, within a 3 metre fenced in corridor, the width of the path being recorded as 2 metres, with 1 metre buffer to the ditch/water course.
The path leads across the county boundary and across a cattle track via a new pedestrian gate, to the water course known as Redford Water, crossing the Redford Water via a new footbridge accessed via a turn and lead in a broadly southerly direction along the field boundary crossing two cattle tracks via new pedestrian gates (either side of each cattle track) and then entering a small copse, over a new sleeper bridge with a minimum width of 1100mm and continuing to its junction with footpath FR/14/82 at ST 8051 4471 via a new pedestrian gate. The footpath will have a recorded width of 2 metres throughout its length, subject to limitations described and specified within the order. The total approximate length of the new footpath will be 1250 metres.

If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representation and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
