What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Buckingham Road (Part), Chippenham: from outside its property known as No.47 Buckingham Road for a distance of approximately 37m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out excavation works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 18 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. B) C154 (Part), Kingston St Michael: from its junction with Stanton Lane to its junction with Grove Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out urgent chamber installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via C154 (unaffected length) – C72 – A429 – A350 – C153 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0100.

C) The Parade (Part), Marlborough: from its junction with A346 for a distance of approximately 37m in a westerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out water disconnection. Alternative route via The Parade (unaffected length) – New Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. D) C104 (Part), Brinkworth: from its property known as Sundays Hill Farm for a distance of approximately 420m in a south easterly direction.

E) C106 (Part), Brinkworth: from its junction with C104 to its property known as Sherwood Cottage to enable Openreach to carry out new pole installation work and other associated works. Alternative route eastbound via C106 (unaffected length) – C88 – B4042 – C104 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route westbound via C104 (unaffected length) – B4042 – C81 – C67 – C104 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 February 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. F) Ploughing Lane (Part), Ogbourne St Andrew: from a point approximately 65m north west of its junction with A346 for a distance of approximately 213m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and install new chamber and other associated works. Alternative route via Ploughing Lane (unaffected length) – A436 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 February 2026 and the closure will be required until 25 February 2026. G) B4040 (Part), Malmesbury: from its junction with Cross Hayes Lane to its junction with Abbotts Garden to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas mains replacement and other associated works. Alternative route via B4040 (unaffected length) – A429 – B4042 – B4040 (unaffected length) and vice versa. H) C101 (Part), Milston: from outside its property known as Field End for a distance of approximately 425m in a north easterly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out annual barrier maintenance, adjustments to the equipment and barrier arms and other associated works. Alternative route via C101 (unaffected length) – C99 – C – C90 – C101 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 for 1 night. I) C8 (Part), Bishops Cannings: from its junction with Pig Lane for a distance of approximately 420m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing work and other associated works. Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length) – A361 – A4 – C73 – C38 – C8 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. J) C120 (Part), Winterbourne Bassett: from outside its property known as Burnside for a distance of approximately 125m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out blockage clearance works and other associated works. Alternative route via C120 (unaffected length) – C121 – C415 – A4361 – C120 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 3 days. K) Manor Farm Lane (Part), Patney: from its property known as Manor Farm for a distance of approximately 180m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out reactive surfacing and other associated works. Alternative route via Manor Farm Lane (unaffected length) – Woodland Road – C51 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. L) C202 (Part), West Overton: from its junction with Southfield to its junction with Newtown Lane,

M) UC 136801 (Part), West Overton: from its junction with C202 for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out jetting and CCTV of existing drainage network. Alternative route via C202 (unaffected length) – C38 – A4 – C202 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. N) C126 (Part), Purton: from its junction with property known as Diana Cottage for a distance of approximately 190m in a northerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out annual barrier maintenance and other associated works. Alternative route via C126 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 for 1 night. Orders A) to N) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 90A

TRAFFIC CALMING FEATURE – C136 CHURCH ROAD, DERRY HILL AND STUDLEY

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes the installation of a Traffic Table Feature in C136 Church Road, Derry Hill and Studley at a point approximately 134 metres west of its junction with Studley Lane for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction for the purpose of providing an informal crossing providing priority for pedestrians crossing at this location. The traffic calming feature will have a maximum height of 75 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 13.

A copy of the plan showing the location of the traffic table feature can be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Calne Library, The Strand, Calne between the hours of 8am - 7pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 8am - 4pm Saturday until 16 February 2026.
