What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 20 January 2026 Wolverhampton City Council made the following Orders under Sections 1, 2 and 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which comes into operation on the 26 January 2026 is as follows:

1. THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (TETTENHALL) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 2) ORDER 2025
This Order will prohibit any vehicle to:
(i) wait at any time on any day in parts of Woodcote Road;
(ii) wait at any time on any day and load and unload at any on any day in parts of Woodcote Road;
(iii) stop between 8.00am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday on school entrance markings in parts of Woodcote Road; and
Existing Traffic Regulation Orders will be revoked to the extent necessary to facilitate the provisions of this Order.
2. THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (TETTENHALL) (WOODCOTE ROAD AREA) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
This Order will prohibit any vehicle with a maximum speed exceeding 20 miles per hour
on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule:
1. Dovecote Close From its junction with Woodcote Road for its entirety
2. Grange Road From its junction with Woodcote Road to its junction with Cornwall Road
3. Leacote Drive From its junction with Woodcote Road for its entirety
4. Wincote Drive From its junction with Woodcote Road for its entirety
5. Woodcote Road From its junction with Wood Road for its entirety including its northern and southern Cul-De-sacs
A copy of the Orders and Plans showing the parts of the roads affected may be inspected during normal office hours at the Main Reception, Civic Centre, St Peter's Square, Wolverhampton or viewed online at

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act or on the ground that any requirement of those sections of the Act or of Parts I to III to the Act or any regulation under the said Part III has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 20 January 2026 make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
