NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1)
U6509 INSTITUTE ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6509 Institute Road for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th February 2026 until the 16th August 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th February 2026 until the 17th February 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th August 2026.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

U6705 PARK ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6705 Park Road from its junction with Darnley Road heading southwards for a distance of 136 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th February 2026 until the 16th August 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th February 2026 until the 17th February 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th August 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Darnley Road, Kenilworth Road, Green Lane, Park Road and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U6708 SECOND AVENUE AND U6531 BEATRICE
BACK LANE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th February 2026 until the 12th August 2026.

Road Closures

U6708 Second Avenue from its junction with Alexandra Road to its junction with Hawthorn Road for a distance of 375 metres.

It is expected that the road will be closed from the 16th February 2026 until the 17th February 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 daily during this period. It is expected that the road will then be closed from the 18th February 2026 until the 20th March 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 daily during this period. However, the order will remain in place until 12th August 2026.

U6531 Beatrice Street Katherine Street Back Lane from its junction with Second Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 157 metres.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th February 2026 until the 17th February 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th August 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Hawthorn Road, Third Avenue, Alexandra Road and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to carry out apparatus lining works and Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

U9512 BRIDGE STREET BACK LANE BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9512 Bridge Street Back Lane for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th February 2026 until the 20th March 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th February 2026 until the 20th February 2026, the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 20th March 2026.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to install a new connection for a new service. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION
(WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED)
ORDER 43 (TRO_101_43)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, intends to make the above-named Order. The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing ‘no waiting at any time’ parking restrictions on sections of Ridge Terrace and Westmorland Avenue in Bedlington.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. U6510 WEST VIEW ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to close a section of road and to hereby further suspend a no entry traffic restriction as described below in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 10th February 2026 until the 21st February 2026

Road Closure:

U6510 West View from a point at the rear of 28 West View heading northwards for a distance of 167 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via West View heading northwards from house number 28 to 1 and West View heading eastwards past the gable end of house number 1 and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

Suspension of No Entry Traffic Restriction:

The following no entry traffic restriction will be suspended from Schedule 2 of the Order namely “Northumberland County Council (Ashington One Way & No Entry Traffic Restrictions) Order 2023 (TROM_218)” dated 8th March 2023, this will then allow access whilst the road is closed. The suspension of the no entry traffic restriction will be in force throughout the duration of this Order. Schedule 2 –

It is expected that the road closure and suspension of no entry traffic restriction will only be in place from the 10th February 2026 until the 14th February 2026, the road will be closed at all times during this period; The Order however will remain in place until 21st February 2026.

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footways in Cramlington in the County of

Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th January 2026 until the 6th March 2026

Footway Closures:

•  U9542 Wedder Law Cramlington from a point at the rear of 19 Wedder Law heading south westwards and then north westwards for a distance of 73 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Wedder Law heading north westwards via the gable end of house number 19, Wedder Law heading south westwards via the front of house numbers 19-26, Wedder Law heading south eastwards via the gable end of house number 27 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

• U9544 Cateran Way Footway Cramlington from its westwards junction with Collingwood Cycle Track heading north eastwards for a distance of 40 metres.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Collingwood cycle track, footway from cycle track past rear of 126-129 Cramond Way, Cragside footway and vice versa.

It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 26th January 2026 until the 20th February 2026 and that the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th March 2026.

ACCESS ROAD CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9555 Brockwell Centre Access Road from 18 metres southward of its junction with Northumbrian Road heading eastwards for a distance of 212 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 2nd February 2026 until the 2nd August 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 2nd February 2026 until the 4th February 2026 between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 nightly during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd August 2026.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in Bedlington in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 2nd February 2026 until the 2nd August 2026.

Road Closures

U6537 St Johns Crescent from its eastward junction with St Johns Road heading northwards for a distance of 26 metres. U6537 St Johns Crescent from its westward junction with St Johns Road heading northwards for a distance of 21 metres.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 2nd February 2026 until the 13th March 2026, the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd August 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via St Johns Road, St Johns Crescent and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6519 Front Street Back Lane from a point at the rear of 18 Front Street heading south westwards for a distance of 17 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 3rd February 2026 until the 14th February 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 3rd February 2026 until the 7th February 2026, the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th February 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Front Street Back Lane, Front Street, Central Parkway, Long Park and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
