What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(ST. JOHN’S ROAD) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION
AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 – TEMP/26/17
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate active travel streetscape improvement works, no person shall, except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle on any part of: St. John’s Rd; south side, (i) from the extended east kerbline of Kirk Ln, eastwards for 38m; (ii) from the extended west kerbline of Kirk Ln, westwards for 27m; and (iii) from the extended west kerbline of the exit from the access road to Nos. 139 to 143 St John’s Road, westwards for 49m. Existing Greenways red line stopping/waiting restrictions and a loading bay will be suspended on the affected sections of road described. The Order shall have effect from 26/01/26 to 31/03/26.
