ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(PRESTON CAPES ROAD, NEWNHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Preston Capes Road, Newnham as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Preston Capes Road, Newnham from the junction of The Green to 400 metres south.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repair works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 11th February 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use B4037, A361, Pinfold Green, Main Street, Church Street and Chapel Lane.

(BANBURY ROAD, BODDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Banbury Road, Boddington as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Banbury Road, Boddington from the junction of Hill Road to Claydon Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the decommission of a water main.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 8 weeks.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use A361, Boddington Road, Byfield Road and Warwick Road.

(RUGBY ROAD/ONLEY LANE, BARBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Rugby Road/Onley Lane, Barby as set out below.
LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Rugby Road/Onley Lane, Barby from the junction of Rugby Road to Onley Lane and the junction of Rugby Road to EC5.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the replacement of 1km of water mains.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted for 8 weeks.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Barby Lane, Ashlawn Road and Onley Lane or A428, Kilsby Lane, Main Road, Daventry Road and Barby Road.

(WELTON LANE, WELTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Welton Lane, Welton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Welton Lane, Welton from the junction of Cold Manor Court for 500 metres southeast.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 3 days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Northern Way, Ashby Road, Barby Road, Ashby Road, Station Road and Crockwell Hill.
