Burton Agnes Road, Rudston - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BURTON AGNES ROAD, RUDSTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Burton Agnes Road, Rudston from its junction with
Southside Lane southbound to a property called
Manor House Farm commencing 18 February 2026 at
08.00 hours until 19 February 2026 at 17.00 hours
for the purposes of telecom poling works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within two days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Burton Agnes Road, Kilham Lane,
Burton Road, East Street, Harpham Lane, A614 High
Road, A614 Main Street, Rudston Road and Woldgate,
Harpham CP, Kilham CP, Rudston CP, Burton Agnes CP,
East Wolds and Coastal Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
