Market Street - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MARKET STREET, BAKEWELL
WHEN: 27 January (19:30) to 28 January 2026 (06:00).
WHERE: Market Street, Bakewell between No. 1 and jct. with Granby Road.
REASON: To facilitate manhole sewer repairs.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Matlock Street, Rutland Square, Anchor Square, Bridge Street, Bath Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
