NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, LANCASTER CITY) (REVOCATION OF BUS STOP CLEARWAYS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 13 January 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the following:
a) "The Borough Of Morecambe And Heysham (Bus Stops)(Clearway) Order 1971" in full;
b) "The City Of Lancaster (Bus Stops)(Clearway) Order 1977" in full;
c) "The City Council Of Lancaster (Lancaster/Morecambe By Pass Road)(Clearway) Order 1994" in full;
d) "The City Council Of Lancaster (Bus Stop-Central Drive Morecambe)(Clearway) Order 1994" in full;
e) "The City Council Of Lancaster (Various Roads)(Bus Stop Clearway) Order 2001" in full.

This Order will come into force on the 26 January 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

quoting ref: LSG4/894. 21415/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
