KIRKLEES COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (MUFFIT LANE, GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Muffit Lane, Gomersal from approximately 20 metres from junction with Popeley Rise for approximately 20 metres in an easterly direction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Muffit Lane, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road, Church Lane, Muffit Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 9 February 2026 and remain in force until 13 February 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BRADFORD ROAD, LITTLETOWN, LIVERSEDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bradford Road, Littletown, Liversedge as follows:Road Closure

Bradford Road     in that short length at the crossroads of Listing Lane/Bradford Road/Valley Road

No Right Turn

Bradford Road      no right turn onto Valley Road from Bradford Road Valley Road      no right turn onto Bradford Road from Valley Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Bradford Road, Leeds Road, Halifax Road, Valley Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 9 February 2026 and remain in force until 20 February 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BIRKHILL CRESCENT, BIRKENSHAW, BRADFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Birkhill Crescent, Birkenshaw, from a point outside property no. 7 to a point outside property no.17 Birkhill Crescent PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Birkhill

Crescent, Whitehall Road East, Birkhill Crescent and vice versa

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 February 2026 and remain in force until 10 February 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BRIDGE STREET/PEELSTREET, HECKMONDWIKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bridge Street/Peel Street, Heckmondwike from a point outside property no. 19 Bridge Street to a point out just onto Peel Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Bridge Street, New North Road, Leeds Road, Bradford Road, Northgate, Greenside, Jeremy Lane, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 between 09:00 hours to 13:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(TOWN HALLWAY/LONGCAUSEWAY, DEWSBURY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Dewsbury:-

Town Hall Way - from its junction with Wakefield Old Road to its junction with Longcauseway

Longcauseway - southbound lane closure from junction with Wakefield Old Road to Vicarage Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Crackenedge Lane, Corporation Street, Northgate (northbound), Halifax Road. Diversion ends at Dewsbury Ring Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 6 January 2026 and will remain in force until 2 February 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
