Irby Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Mains Replacement Works

SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make the above Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all of other enabling powers intend to make the above order because of essential gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic the date the order came into force, and its maximum duration is set out below.

The effect of the order will be to prohibit traffic proceeding along the following lengths of road listed below:

Irby Road, Heswall

Between the junction of Richmond Way and Pensby Hall Lane.

All junctions adjoining the above roads will be temporarily closed when necessary.

A signed diversion route via Fishers Lane and Pensby Road (& vice versa) will be in place.

The anticipated dates of the temporary closure will become operative between the 14?? February and 15?? March 2026.

This Order will become operative on the 14?? February 2026, and will continue in force for 18 months, or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15?? March 2026.
