TUNSTEAD –
A) U19171 Crowgate Street from its junction with C397 Stone Lane to its junction with U19170 Crowgate Street and
B) U19170 Crowgate Street from its junction with U19171 Crowgate Street for 180m south-westwards to facilitate new duct installation works for BDUK from 19th to 28th January 2026 (may continue until 11th March 2026). WALSINGHAM – U14092 Church Street from its junction with C586 High Street for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate new valve installation works from 19th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: U14092 Church Street, C586 High Street, C597 Common Place, C597 Holt Road, U14092 Sunk Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
WALSINGHAM –
A) Bridewell Street from its junction with Guild Street for 35m southwards and
B) Bridewell Street from 35m south of its junction with Guild Street for 77m southwards to facilitate structural repair works. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 23rd December 2025 that the Road A will be temporarily closed and the Road B will be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction from 22nd January to 6th March 2026 (previously 1st to 21st January 2026) (may continue until 6th September 2026). Alternative route is via: Guild Street, Knight Street, Common Place, High Street, Bridewell Street. The works promoter is Walsingham Estate.
WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – 1F210 Anchor Lane from its junction with Staithe Street to its junction with Newgate Lane to facilitate water meter exchange works on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – U10021 High Street from its junction with U14476 Marsh Lane for 30m northwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 19th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: U14476 Marsh Lane, C881 Polka Road, U14475 Station Road, U10021 High Street. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.

ATTLEBOROUGH – C137 West Carr Road from 545m east of its junction with C136 Long Street for 40m eastwards to facilitate new connection works from 22nd to 26th January 2026 (may continue until 9th March 2026). Alternative route is via:

BARNHAM BROOM – C167 Honingham Road from its junction with C162 Norwich Road for 115m northwards to facilitate electrical repair works. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 9th January 2026 that the Road will be temporarily closed from 17th to 23rd January 2026 (previously 12th to 16th January 2026) (may continue until 6th March 2026). BLO’ NORTON – The Street from 70m west of its junction with Self Lane for 50m westwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). BRADENHAM – U33283 Manor Road from 25m west of its junction with C126 Bradenham Lane for 240m north-westwards to facilitate pole replacement works on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). BRADENHAM – U33349 Mill Street from 35m south of its junction with C126 School Road for 260m eastwards to facilitate pole replacement works between 09:00 and 15:00 on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). GREAT ELLINGHAM – U33114 Deopham Road from its junction with B1077 Attleborough Road for 60m north-eastwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 19th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: B1077 Attleborough Road, C136 Hingham Road, U33106 Stalland Common/Bush Green, U33114 Deopham Road and vice versa. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
GREAT MELTON – C168 Landlow Lane from its junction with B1108 Watton Road for 50m southwards to facilitate patching works from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). GREAT MELTON – C168 Bow Hill from its junction with B1108 Watton Road for 50m northwards to facilitate patching works from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Bow Hill, Mill Road, Barford Road, Chapel Street, Cock Street, Watton Road (Wramplingham, Barford, Marlingford and Colton, Great Melton). KIRBY CANE AND ELLINGHAM – U76311 Mill Lane from 145 metres west of its junction with U76311 Braces Lane for 350 metres north-westwards to facilitate installation of new fibre network for BDUK from 19th January to 3rd February 2026 (may continue until 17th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Church Road, Geldeston Road. The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks Ltd.
N.B Access to Braces Lane will be maintained up to the points of closure.
LANGLEY WITH HARDLEY – C202 Staithe Road from its junction with U76330 Forge Road for 240m northwards to facilitate new fibre network installation works for BDUK from 19th to 22nd January 2026 (may continue until 5th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Langley Road, Rectory Lane, Norwich Road, A146 Norwich Road, Ferry Road, Beccles Green, Staithe Road (Chedgrave, Langley with Hardley, Thurlton, Carleton St Peter). OLD BUCKENHAM – Abbey Road from 1330m west of its junction with Upgate Street for 200m westwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 19th January 2026 (may continue until 2nd March 2026). Alternative route is via: B1077 The Green/Cake Street/New Buckenham Road, B1113 Castle Hill Road/King Street/Queen Street/Market Place/Norwich Road/The Turnpike, C350 Upgate Street (New Buckenham, Carleton Rode, Old Buckenham). OLD BUCKENHAM AND NEW BUCKENHAM – Cuffer Lane from 520m north of its junction with Moat Lane for 30m northwards to facilitate new electrical supply works between 08:00 and 18:00 from 21st to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: U33171 Market Place, B1113 Norwich Road/The Turnpike, C350 Upgate Street, U33171 Folly Lane (Old Buckenham, New Buckenham, Carleton Rode). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON AND ALBURGH – U76183 Burntoak Lane from its junction with U76184 Low Road for 555m southwards to facilitate carriageway repairs from 19th to 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Low Road, Bungaygrave Lane, Clintergate Road, Burntoak Lane (Redenhall with Harleston, Alburgh). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
SPORLE WITH PALGRAVE – The Street from its junction with the A47 for 250m northwards to facilitate gully raising works from 19th to 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: C123 Bunkers Hill/Sporle Road, A47 (Swaffham, Sporle with Palgrave). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
WICKLEWOOD – U78070 Whitehouse Lane from its junction with C164 Dykebeck for 30m northwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Whitehouse Lane, Hospital Road, Wymondham Road, Hackford Road, The Green, Wood Lane, High Oak Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
WYMONDHAM – U71017 Lime Tree Avenue from its junction with U78416 Sheffield Road for 80m northwards to facilitate patching works from 19th to 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). Alternative route is via: Lime Tree Avenue, Tuttles Lane East, Finderne Drive, Sheffield Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

BURNHAM MARKET – U22170 Station Road from 80m south of its junction with B1155 Church Walk for 260m eastwards to facilitate overhead cable repair works between 09:00 and 15:00 on 22nd January 2026 (may continue until 5th March 2026). BURNHAM MARKET –
A) C479 Beacon Hill Road from 20m south of its junction with B1355 Creake Road for 275m southwards and;

EMNETH – A1101 Elm High Road from its junction with A47 Wisbech Bypass for 273m south-eastwards to facilitate duct installation works between 19:00 and 06:00 from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026).

EMNETH – U21097 Gaultree Square from 30m north of its junction with C14 Hollycroft Road for 30m northwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 19th to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Gaultree Square, Hungate Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
FELTWELL – U21506 Anchor Drove (Feltwell Iron Bridge) from the north end of the bridge for 40m southwards owing to the weak structural condition of the bridge. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 23rd December 2025 that the Road will be subject to the temporary imposition of a 7.5 tonne weight restriction from 23rd January 2026 to 12th June 2027 (previously 2nd to 22nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
GREAT MASSINGHAM – C66 Castle Acre Road from its junction with C72 Weasenham Road for 450m south-westwards to facilitate new footway scheme. The Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 6th January 2026 that the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) from 10th January to 9th February 2026 (previously 5th to 9th January 2026) (may continue until 9th August 2026). Alternative route is via: Castle Acre Road, Litcham Road, Rougham Road, Weasenham Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
HEACHAM – Ringstead Road from its junction with A149 Redgate Hill for 160m north-eastwards to facilitate blockage clearing and pole bend provision works from 21st to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Ringstead Road, Redgate Hill. The works promoter is BT.
KING’S LYNN – U20535 Southgate Street from its junction with U20537 Horsley Court for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 20th to 22nd January 2026 (may continue until 5th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Southgate Street, London Road, Valingers Road, South Lynn Plain, Friars Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
KING’S LYNN –
A) A1076 Gayton Road from its junction with U20779 Winston Churchill Drive for 70m westwards and
B) A1076 Gayton Road from its junction with U20779 Winston Churchill Drive for 92m westwards to facilitate toucan crossing and resurfacing works between 19:00 and 07:00 from 19th January to 13th March 2026 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place (may continue until 21st September 2026).
Alternative route is via: Gayton Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, Grimston Road, Wootton Road (Castle Rising, South Wootton, Bawsey, Grimston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
KING’S LYNN – 2Y43 Cyclepath from its junction with U20776 Gayton Road for 55m northwards to facilitate toucan crossing and resurfacing works from 19th January to 13th March 2026 only whilst signs indicate closures are in place (may continue until 18th July 2026). Alternative route is via: Gayton Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, Grimston Road, Wootton Road (Castle Rising, South Wootton, Bawsey, Grimston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
MARHAM – U21332 School Lane from its junction with U21332 Mill Lane for 55m southwards to facilitate new box and pole installation works from 21st to 23rd January 2026 (may continue until 6th March 2026). Alternative route is via: School Lane, Church Lane, The Street, Mill Lane. The works promoter is BT.
MIDDLETON – C55 Station Road from its junction with A47 Lynn Road for 200m northwards to facilitate tree cutting works between 08:00 and 16:00 on 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Station Road, Brow Of The Hill, Gayton Road, Lynn Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, A47 J A10/A149 Link Road From Larger To Smaller Roundabout E, Constitution Hill, A47 From J B1153 To J A10/A149 (North Runcton, Leziate, Bawsey, Middleton). OUTWELL – C5 Stow Road from its junction with C16 Marsh Road for 40m southwards to facilitate pole replacement works between 08:30 and 16:00 on 20th January 2026 (may continue until 3rd March 2026). UPWELL – Thurlands Drove from 480m northwest of its junction with C109 March Riverside for 30m north-westwards to facilitate stop tap replacement work from 19th to 21st January 2026 (may continue until 4th March 2026). Alternative route is via: Thurlands Drove, March Riverside, Marsh Street, New Bridge, Town Street, Pius Drove, The Common (Outwell, Upwell). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
