Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M2 Motorway in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road by contractors working on behalf of Kent County Council.

The effect of the Order is to permit the 24-hour closure of the hard shoulder adjacent to: -

b) the westbound carriageway of the M2 between a point approximately 275 metres north-west of the centreline of the Robin Hood Lane overbridge and
a point approximately 1380 metres north-west of the A229 overbridge;

c) the road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the M2 at Junction 3 (A229); and

d) the road leading from the westbound carriageway of the M2 at Junction 3 (A229).

These measures are the interests of road safety while contractors undertake surveying and barrier repairs and all associated works.

It is expected that the work will last for approximately 3 weeks starting on Monday 26th January 2026 at 20:00 hours.

Please consult the National Highways website for further details.

The Order will come into force on 24th January 2026 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
